New Old Stuff

Yesterday was a very good day in the garage sale world..for me. Found this (and many others) old wheel and made a deal for it...even got it delivered! (Had to pay to get it delivered, but I got it delivered!)

Then later Pat called and told me of an antique/junque store I hadn't been in yet. Betty and I were out running around so we went by there. Wound up EACH of us bought one of these. It's a disc of some sort for a plow.....we think. I just think it's neat. I'd love to hang it on the front wall of my loft but won't. If it ever fell it would embed itself in the floor, someone's body, the dog, my head, whatever...it's heavy! Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I just think it's cool!!!

New Sign

Last night I went to Wichita to pick up a friend at the airport at 10 pm . I drove by a liquor store and this was posted on the lit sign out front:

"You look like I could use another drink!"


I really liked it and wish I'd thought to take a photo!!! :)

The Roses I Hated

Ok..time to take back all the things I said about Knockout Roses. They're blooming this week and they're truly very pretty...especially the yellow ones with peachy edges. Lots of people have asked about the red plants around the front edge of the plot...it's Coral Bells. I've been really pleased with how this area has shaped up. Started out with huge hyacinths and jonquils and lots of red and yellow and varied colored tulips..
and of course, the little blooming idiot is in the picture too!! :)
